The Healthy Living Resource Clearinghouse has a new name – HEALTH in COMMON.

As a result of strategic planning and the direction of the organization, we have changed the name to more accurately reflect our mandate.

HEALTH in COMMON will work to enhance capacity for initiatives that support healthy living.

Creating healthy places for healthy people to live is not something the health system can do on its own. The public and private sectors, non-government organizations, industry, schools, communities, families and individuals all have a role to play. The new name reflects our commitment to bringing people together across sectors, with the common goal of making the healthy choice the easy choice.

The success of our newsletter depends on the contributions of people and organisations throughout Manitoba.  Please contact us if you would like to:

• promote an event;
• share a community capacity building resource or tool;
• be added or removed from the e-newsletter mailing list;
• be added, removed or submit to our list serve;
• include a volunteer or employment opportunity in the e-newsletter;
• submit a photo for our website; or
• promote a call for proposals.

The deadline for submissions for inclusion in the August E-Newsletter is July 25^th.
